I wanted to welcome you all back as we begin to prepare for the upcoming Southern Colorado Press Club Season. The end of our 2019-2020 schedule certainly brought on some unprecedented changes to our events, especially this year’s Sheep Dip which we unfortunately had to cancel.
We will plan on having Sheep Dip for the 2020-2021 Press Club Year on Thursday April 8, 2021 so please to be sure to mark that on your calendars. The entire Press Club has been working tirelessly to schedule and put together programs for the upcoming year. However, due to the challenges of COVID-19 and limits on social gatherings, we are going to have to postpone the start to the Press Club season until October. Please be on the lookout for further communication from the Southern Colorado Press Club on upcoming meetings and events.
As you are already aware, our main goal for Southern Colorado Press Club is to raise funds to be able to provide scholarships to deserving Media Communication students at Colorado State University Pueblo and Pueblo Community College. Due to the fact that we had to unfortunately cancel Sheep Dip this year, our largest fundraising event of the year, we are limited on funds and will have to forgo the Southern Colorado Press Club Grant this year.
If you or your business would like to help out and contribute to the Press Club Scholarship fund, please reach out to us directly to open up those lines of communication as your continued support is greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for your engagement and support. We look forward to seeing you at future Southern Colorado Press Club meetings.
