Southern Colorado Press Club has recently announced that its 2019 grant was awarded to Fountain International Magnet School in Pueblo, Colorado in the amount of $2,500. The grant will be used to fund a program called SeeSaw for kindergarten students. The SeeSaw technology promotes literacy, communication and parental engagement through a student-driven digital portfolio.
With the help of this program, 5- and 6-year-olds create a presentation, prepare what to say on camera, learn to speak clearly while being filmed, use a green screen, and share their work with an audience beyond their classroom.
