Andrea Aragon is President/CEO of the United Way of Pueblo County. She earned her degree in TV/Radio and public relations, minoring in political science, from the University of Southern Colorado (now CSU-Pueblo). Andrea worked as an intern in the Pueblo and Washington, D.C. offices of Congressman Scott McInnis, then served as the Executive Director of Latino Chamber of Commerce and as Assistant Director of Development/ Director of Alumni Relations at Colorado State University-Pueblo.She has served on numerous statewide boards via appointments from Governors Ritter, Owens and Hickenlooper. In Pueblo, Andrea has received honors for her community involvement from the Pueblo Hispanic Education Foundation, the YWCA, the Pueblo City/County Library, Southern Colorado Press Club and has served on numerous community boards throughout her career.

In 2003, the Pueblo Chieftain recognized Andrea as one of Pueblo’s new generation of leaders, and she maintains positions of community service on too many local boards to list here! In 2015 Andrea was honored with the Greater Pueblo Chamber’s Charles W. Crews Business Leader of the Year Award, and in 2016 was presented with the President’s Medallion for Distinguished Alumni Achievement from Colorado State University – Pueblo. She and her husband, Darrin Smith, have two children, Freddie & Evan.
